Sarya-Serfaty holds a B.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Philosophy and General & Comparative Literature, with a main focus on Creative Writing, and an M.A. (research) in General & Comparative Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He has also studied improvisation, vocal delivery and playwriting in various programs. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous productions, including Otoko Banzai as Noam, directed by Alon Shmuel Tsang; The Madcap Adventures of Love, directed by Tamar Orbach; Fiddler on the Roof as Mendel, Aida as Merab, and Guys and Dolls as Harry the Horse, all directed by Michael Berl; Heathers as Dwight and Into the Woods as Cinderella's Prince, directed by Yaeli Greenblatt; Last Night in Florence as Edoardo, directed by Aviella Tarpido; & Eve as Noam, directed by Leah Alon Magen; and He Too Among the Aristocrats as Cléonte, directed by Eliana Magon. As a writer and director, he created Keep Your Friends Close, and Your Enemies Closer as part of the 48-Hour Musical Challenge, and wrote and directed the play Sticking to the Text, which was presented as a staged reading.
