Francis Wolff is a philosopher and professor emeritus of philosophy at the École normale supérieure (Paris). He has also been a professor at the universities of São Paulo (Brazil) and Paris-Nanterre. Known for his research on Ancient thought (Socrate, Aristote et la politique, Penser avec les Anciens), he has been building a personal body of work for more than twenty years, focusing the singularity of the human being. He is the author of some fifteen books, including Notre humanité, d'Aristote aux neurosciences, Trois utopies contemporaines, Plaidoyer pour l'universel, Pourquoi la musique ?, etc., all published by Fayard (Paris).
